Doug Brown specializes in crafting resilient and beautiful landscapes. He is a California licensed landscape architect with 30 years of experience in the private and public sectors. He has a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from UC Berkeley and his expertise ranges from intimate private gardens to city streets and public institutions.

Doug’s work explores the intersection of nature and culture—the manmade.

His work experience at the state level uniquely positions him with an understanding of how large-scale issues and policies can be sensitively addressed in small-scale landscape design solutions. With 14 years at Caltrans, Doug is proficient at dealing with pressing environmental issues like drought and storm water pollution and he addresses these issues with vision for long-term, permanent change.
